David Nettelbeck

David Nettelbeck’s family were pioneer settlers in the Barossa Valley 150 years ago. He was educated at a country high school and began his teaching career at technical schools in Adelaide.

He and his wife lectured at a training college for primary teachers in remote western Tanzania and he was subsequently Headmaster of The Arusha School, a multi racial government boarding school for primary children, and later The Moshi International School at a time when it was one of the first schools to use the International Baccalaureate examination.

Since his return to Australia, he has held senior teaching and administrative posts at St Michael’s Grammar School, Whitefriars College and Caulfield Grammar School. He lives in Melbourne and works part time conducting workshops for teachers in all states of Australia and overseas.
